Maltitol is used to add sweetness while offering a reduced sugar alternative. It mimics the properties of sugar, without the added calories associated with regular sugar.

Appearance: White crystalline powder, similar to that of table sugar.

Taste: Sweet, but not as sweet as table sugar.

Texture: Similar to sugar, with a slightly different mouthfeel.

Solubility: Highly soluble in water.
