Aspartame

What is Aspartame?

Aspartame is a low-calorie sweetener that is widely used in the food and beverage industry as a sugar substitute. It’s significantly sweeter than sucrose (table sugar), allowing small amounts to be used to achieve the same level of sweetness.

Aspartame is composed of two amino acids: aspartic acid and phenylalanine.
