Allulose

Allulose

Allulose, also known as D-psicose, is a monosaccharide that occurs naturally in small quantities in some fruits and foods. It has a fraction of the calories of traditional sugars and a low impact on blood sugar levels, emerging as a healthier sweetener alternative in food and beverage applications.

Application
Allulose, is a versatile sugar substitute for healthier, reduced-calorie applications such as beverages, baked goods, confections, dairy products, sauces and dressings, nutritional bars, canned and frozen foods, jams and preservatives, energy/sport drinks, tabletop sweeteners, and more.

Formulation
Allulose acts as a sweetener when added to food and beverage applications but unlike traditional sugars it has minimal effect on blood glucose levels and caloric content. It also has high solubility in a majority of liquids making it valuable in formulations that require even consistencies.
