What is Vanillin?

Vanillin is a popular flavor compound that replicates the flavor and aroma of natural vanilla.

Natural vanillin is extracted from vanilla beans, while synthetic vanillin is chemically produced. Both forms are used in the flavoring industry, with synthetic vanillin being more cost-effective.
